Soul Call

It has been really really long since I wrote anything here.Since yesterday a thought that has been engaging me fully has been the soul connection.
I have so often heard many great ones talk about this.Sri Sri has often said that he feels connected to everyone and has never felt he is seeing someome for the first time.
That is indeed so very beautiful I believe.
I have had similar feelings many times but it is probably limited to fellow Art Of Living family or other satsanghis whom I meet.The sense of "I belong to you", certainly exists.
Atma is only one,so that is the reason why we feel "Oh I know you so well",many times.

Last month I was in Hyderabad to spend sometime with amma,who has not been keeping good health for a while now.
Had the opportunity to meet my nephew and his lovely little angels.These beautiful children showed me what soul connection is.
They were all booked in a nearby hotel.Went with my brother to the hotel.We knocked at the room door and as the door opened,one of these darling angels just came rushing and gave me such a bear hug and clung on to me like we knew each other for ages.Her clinging on to me was like asking me, "Where were you all these days,I have been waiting for you"?
This scene has been coming to my mind so many times,I feel just to reassure me that YOU ARE connected to everyone.
The feeling that I experienced that moment can only be experienced,very difficult to put it down in words and I shall sure cherish that moment all my life.
Children as they say are Brahmaswaroopam.Their innocent and bright smile, eyes so filled with love shows us GOD right there,just that we need to be aware of that and acknowledge the presence of GOD in every child, right here in front of us.There is I feel no need to go searching for HIM in a temple or in any place of worship.

HE IS HERE AND NOW!!!!Just feel the connection!!!!

Unknown said...: Yes dear it is very true. We feel that connection when we are in the present, not judging. Most other times when we dont feel it is when the intellect works, judges the other person, or when we are in the past or in future. Thought For The Day

What exists is only the perceiver of both the dream and the waking state - the "I”. Know that “I”; and know that “I” is the same as ”He” (God). You can know this only by intense spiritual discipline, that is not marred by anger, envy and greed - the vices that sprout from ego. You have to carefully watch and control these vices. When you get angry, you act as if you are possessed by an evil spirit; your face becomes ugly and frightful. Like the red bulb winking when danger is approaching, your eyes and face become red and act as a warning to you. Heed that signal and quietly get away to a lonely spot. Do not give free vent to wicked words. Once you grow in wisdom, ego will naturally fall away. So develop wisdom and discriminate by knowing the ephemeral nature of all objective things. Then ego will die a natu ral death from the field of your heart and you will attain salvation

Happiness makes one forget one's obligations to oneself as a human being. It drags one into egoism leading to committing of sins. Happiness draws a veil over experiences that make one tough. It also spends out one’s stock of merit and arouses baser passions. On the other hand, grief renders man alert and watchful. Misery makes one think and leads to self-improvement. It also endows one with new and valuable experiences, and highlights the value of happiness. Realize that happiness and misery are inseparable and you cannot choose only one. Treat troubles and travails as your friends; at least, do not see them as your enemies! It is best to regard both happiness and misery as gifts of God. That is the easiest path for one's own liberation.
